Patricia Taylor Wright's Obituary
Lakeland – Patricia “Patti” Taylor Wright, 86, passed away Nov. 25, 2017.
Patti was born in Alcoa, TN on Oct. 18, 1931. She graduated from Tenafly High School, and later attended Jackson College for Women at Tufts University. She was very active in community organizations. Patti was an EMT with Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps., former President of the Community Center of Ridgefield, CT, member of the Country Club of Hilton Head, SC and Hilton Head Plantation Yacht Club, member of the Landing Club of Savannah, GA, Navy League of the U.S. member, as well as the Savannah Newcomers Club and Wilmington Garden Club. She was a boating enthusiast and also traveling enthusiast, having travelled to over 66 countries. Patti was a prolific artist and needlepoint crafter.
Patti was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Douglas Taylor, and her second husband of 11 years, Dr. Edward Wright. She is survived by her children, Douglas G. (Tracy) Taylor, Bradley D. (Jaynie) Taylor, Ann Taylor (Dan) Cohen, and Matthew B. (Brian Cunha) Taylor; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held Wed. (Nov. 29th) from 2-4 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patti’s honor may be made to the charity of your choice.
