Patricia Silverthorn's Obituary
Patricia Silverthorn passed away on April 13, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Silverthorn of Lakeland, Florida. She is also survived by daughter Karin B. Silverthorn of Raleigh, NC; sister Martina Wickizer of Indiana; sister Rita Ann May in Texas, brother Jim May of Arizona and brother Mike May of California; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Malynna Silverthorn of Burke, VA; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews throughout the United States.
Patty was born March 12, 1944 in Connersville, Indiana to the late Joseph and Rose Marie May. She married Richard Silverthorn on March 12, 1977 with whom she shared 41 years. The Silverthorns have been Lakeland residents since 2003 and long-standing members of Grasslands Golf & Country Club. An avid and talented golfer, Patty was a 4-time Women’s Golf Champion at Grasslands Golf & Country Club and played in several state-wide amateur leagues. She and Richard also enjoyed playing golf throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia. She was a retired Right-of-Way Administrator in the Appraisal Department from Florida Department of Transportation in Bartow, Florida.
Local funeral arrangements are being made by Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes and Burton Funeral Home in Erie, PA. Local visitation and services are planned for Wednesday April 18th, 2018 starting at 10:30AM with service immediately following at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland at 4450 Harden Boulevard. Burial will be in the Fairview, PA Cemetery.
