Patricia Arleen March's Obituary
Patricia Arleen March, age 70, of Lakeland, FL, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House, with her beloved dachshund, Hershey, by her side. Patricia was born in Michigan and made the move to Lakeland approximately 25 years ago, where she quickly became a cherished member of the community.
Patricia spent her professional years at the Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, initially as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as a Staffing Coordinator. Her compassion and dedication to her role were evident in the care and attention she provided to both the residents and her colleagues.
Outside of her professional life, Patricia was a gifted quilter and seamstress, known for sewing exquisite gifts for friends and family. Her creativity didn’t just produce beautiful quilts and clothes; it was also a source of joy for many, as she often included small handmade gifts with snacks and drinks whenever she had an appointment or received visitors. These thoughtful gestures were a hallmark of Patricia’s generous spirit.
An avid animal lover, Patricia was deeply involved with the DARE Dachshund Rescue. She contributed in numerous ways, from fostering and transporting to conducting home checks and making donations. Her volunteer work was more than a pastime; it was a passion that filled her days and her heart, especially after the loss of her beloved husband, Raymond March, with whom she shared over forty years of marriage.
Patricia's love for her dachshunds, Jersey, Sammy, and more recently Hershey, knew no bounds. These cherished companions were not just pets but family, filling her home and heart with joy and comfort after Raymond’s passing.
Predeceased by her husband, Raymond, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and community service that will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by many friends, family members, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
