Overton “Obbie” Ingraham
Bartow – Overton “Obbie” Ingraham, 86, passed away September 25, 2017.
Obbie was born on September 6, 1931 in Key West, Florida, and was proud to be a Key West Conch. He served his country for over 21 years in the United States Army, and retired as a Sergeant First Class. Obbie moved to Bartow from Miramar in 2001. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed following the different sports teams in Florida. He was known for his large breakfasts he would prepare for everyone. Obbie especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a family man who cherished his time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Obbie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Julie Ingraham; children, Debra (Dennis) Hoecherl, Charlene Bachmann, Terry (Carrie) Ingraham and Rob Ingraham; brother, Milman Ingraham; sister, Gerri Pinder; grandchildren, David (Crystal), Denise, Keith (Loni), Robert (Crystal), Julie, Kevin, Grace and Jennifer (Dominic); great grandchildren, Derek, Cadence, Austin, Brooke, Amber, Tristen, Cory, Destyni, Trinity, Joey, Alex and Luke.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home.
