Ouida “LaVohn” Smith Sandlin
June 25, 1923 – July 19, 2021 (98)
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her daughter, granddaughter, and grandson. She was born in Florida and resided in Lakeland for over 60 years. She retired from Agrico Chemical in the early 80s as secretary and was a long-standing member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Survived by daughter, Edie Gabbard; granddaughter, Megan (Daniel) Tysver; grandson, Micah Jones; great-grandson, Anderson Kragh, all of Lakeland; and brother, Arlen (June) Green of Vinton, VA.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all the compassionate caregivers at Cornerstone Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Florida Baptist Children's Home, 1015 Sikes Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33815.
