Oliver "Ollie" Fowler's Obituary
Oliver “Ollie” Fowler, 90, resident of Lakeland passed away January 4, 2023.
Ollie was born in Ohio July 26, 1932 to Oliver and Louise Fowler who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters Louise and Viola. His only living sibling, Eugene, is residing in Ohio.
Ollie is also survived by his children: Jim Fowler (Pam), Bobbi Gorrell (Tony), Ron Fowler (Laura), Becci Rein (Fred), Collette Williams (Russ), and Billy Lindsay (Debbie).  He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Ollie was united in marriage on December 28, 1979 to his wife Molly Fowler of 43 years.
He joined the Navy in 1950 where he learned to be an electrician, serving during the Korean War aboard the USS Oriskany.
He was an active member of the Free and Accepted Masons.
Once he retired, he was able to pursue his many passions which were to travel, sing, dance, and spend quality time with his family.  During his many years spent at Shalimar Creek in Lakeland, he would be found behind the bar at 4 PM for Sippy Hour with all of his friends stopping by on a daily basis.
A quote from a family member about Ollie is: “Every family should have an Uncle Ollie, he completes the family.”
A special thought shared by his wife Molly is, "I’ve lost the best person I have ever known. “
Ollie was loved by one and all who met him, and he will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends from 1-3:00PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr in Lakeland.
