Norman Gerald Anderson's Obituary
Norman Gerald Anderson
Born on July 14, 1938, in Wildwood, Florida and grew up in Medulla and Mulberry, Florida. Norman passed away on April 15, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida.
He served in the US Air Force as a crew chief on a B52 Bomber. He worked as an electrician for Fife Electric and Hughes Supply before getting his pilot’s license. Norman worked for Roberts Flying Service and then became a corporate pilot and chief mechanic for Publix from 1979 until 2003.
Norman married Wanda Towson in 1960 and had their daughters Candy and Holly. They were separated by her death in 1969. He fell in love with and married Jacqui Brosamer on November 2, 1979. They shared a rich and full life with a loving family.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had property in Georgia and Ocala in addition to his home in Lakeland. His children and grandchildren, as well as his great grandchildren have a love for the outdoors because of his influence. He was the fixer of everything, the family handyman. He loved to tinker in his massive garage with his thousands of tools. There was nothing he couldn’t fix if given enough time. Unfortunately, he ran out of time. He was a great father, husband, and papa to all of us.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Jacqui; daughters Candy Higgins and husband Gordon, Holly Mason and husband Carl; grandchildren Alyson Higgins and husband Justin, Ryan Mason and wife Courtney, Lee Higgins, Andy Mason; great grandchildren Owen Moss, Parker Moss, Aubrey Mason, Noah Higgins, Avery Mason; brother Bill Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Anderson, his father and mother Andy and Elma Anderson, his brother George Anderson, and sisters Patti Roark and Vonda Mills.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th from 10-10:30 am with funeral services to begin at 10:30 am at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 W Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland. Burial will follow at Socrum Cemetery.
