Noel Hope Simmons' Obituary
Noel Hope Simmons was born on December 12, 2006, in Lakeland, FL to Joel Simmons and Heather Bridges. She passed away at age 12, on March 28, 2019, in Lakeland, FL.
Noel was a sixth grader at Florida Virtual School and was an honor student who consistently earned straight A's. She was an international competitive artistic figure skater: winning many medals and trophies under the tutelage of the coaching team at Skate Reflections in Kissimmee, FL. Noel was a Platinum member cruiser with Carnival Cruise Lines and enjoyed being the most well traveled child that she knew. Her hobbies included roller skating, fishing with her dad, swimming, attending sporting events with her family, and watching movies. She loved theme parks and was a roller coaster junkie. Her favorite foods were lobster, watermelon, and Takis.
Noel is survived by her father, Joel G. Simmons; mother, Heather M. Bridges; brother, Logan T. Bridges; paternal uncle and aunt, Steve and Faye Simmons; paternal uncle, Philip Simmons; paternal aunt, Sarah Fountain; maternal grandfather, William H. Gillock Jr.; maternal uncle and aunt, Russel and Leslie Waldorff; maternal uncle and aunt, William D. and Marissa Gillock along with numerous cousins and close friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Emory and Ruby Simmons; maternal grandmother, Peggy Gillock and cousin, Jeremy Fountain.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Road, Lakeland, FL 33810 on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 pm with the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
