Natividad Velazquez, 88, of Lakeland, passed away March 11, 2015 due to natural causes.
Mrs. Velazquez moved to Lakeland in 1990 after retiring from the Board of Education, New York City, where she worked as a paraprofessional for 25 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was very active in all church activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband Teodoro in 2007, and is survived by her daughters, Diana Diaz, Yolanda Velazquez, and Evelyn Adair; a brother Francisco Diaz; her seven grandchildren, Nelson, Jason, Matthew, Alexander, Christian, Arman, and Evan; and four great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to the visitation at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., on Sunday, March 15 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, at 8:30 am from St. Anthony Catholic Church.
The family has requested that donations may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
