Nathaniel Nebiyou Seitz, native son of Ethiopia, beloved son of Garry and Jan Seitz, passed onto to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 8. Nathaniel (Nate) came home to our family in April 2007, along with Hannah, Noah and Abigail. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his father, Garry. He is survived by his mother, Jan, brothers: David, Erich, Cary , Jeremiah, Ben, Luke, Noah, Joshua, and Caleb. His sisters include: Sharon, Arunee, Jennifer, Bethany, Rachel, Hannah, Rebekah, Abigail, Tabitha and Phoebe. Also surviving are his uncles Tom and Larry Seitz, multiple nephews and nieces.
Nathaniel attended Victory Christian Academy where he participated in soccer and basketball, and was a member of the homecoming court his freshman year. He also attended Victory Church, where he was active in youth group and Fine Arts.
Nathaniel was loved by everyone who met him. He had an infectious smile and was always, positive and fun-loving. Not coming to this country until he was 14, he started with a tremendous language deficit. Yet, he persevered, graduating from VCA with Honors in 2012 and from Polk State College, with a degree in Business, in 2017.
Always a hard worker, Nathaniel held several part time jobs during HS, including Publix where he continues to work in Customer Service.
Nathaniel was a gifted and creative chef and enjoyed serving others with his culinary talents. He especially enjoyed cooking with his siblings on special occasions and holidays.
There are no words to express what a devastating loss, Nathaniel's passing is to our family. Not only was Nathaniel an irreplaceable friend, brother, and uncle, he has been a truly wonderful and loving son. Nathaniel, you will live in our hearts forever and we will always thank God for allowing us to be your parents and family these past 12 years.
