Nathan Hadley Poor
May 14, 1940 – February 24, 2024.
Nathan passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24th at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland.
He was born in Beverly, Massachusetts to the late Justin and Irene Poor. Nathan was a graduate of Beverly High School in Massachusetts. Nathan moved to Florida in 1975. Nathan loved golf, riding his bike, spending time on Siesta Key, and traveling. Nathan will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his two sons Nathan and Jason Poor. He was the beloved partner to Carol Cook who preceded him in passing, and he was a loving “stepfather” to her children Chris (Erika) Cook and Melissa (John)Cone. Nathan was “Grampy” to his granddaughters Maria (William) Temple, Kassadie Cook, and Jada Cook. He is survived by his sisters, nieces, nephews, and loving extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 6th at 2 pm, at Gentry Morrison Funeral Homes – Southside Chapel 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland Florida 33801. Donations can be made in Nathans name to the SPCA Florida, 5850 Brannen Rd. S, Lakeland Florida 33813.
