Mrs. Rooney was one of the founding members of the development of competitive swimming in Cornwall, NY. Her love of swimming and dedication to the sport is an inspiration to all swim coaches. Even after her children left the sport, Mrs. Rooney continued on to make competitive swimming an important part of out community and high school athletic experience. Best wishes to her family during this time of mourning. She will be greatly missed.
