NADINE J. EMPIE, 85
LAKELAND - Nadine J. Empie, 85, passed away from complications of arthritis on June 8, 2014. Nadine was born on January 31, 1929 in Rockdale, Wisconsin to the late Sidney and Mildred Venaas Johnson. Before retirement, she worked as a sales associate for multiple retail stores. Nadine had a lifetime love for cats, and also enjoyed working on puzzles of all types. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Sidney "Sonny" Johnson. Nadine is survived by her son, Glenn (Kay) Barry of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Cathi (Charles) Worthington of Gainesville, FL; longtime companion, Tim Hartman of Lakeland, FL; and her extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted Wed. June 18th at 2 pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland.
