MONA KIM WHEELER, 56 LAKELAND - Mona Kim Wheeler, 56, died October 27, 2014, of pulmonary failure at Kindred Hospital Bay Area, St. Petersburg, FL. She was surrounded by loving parents, Jerry and Melba Wheeler of Lakeland, sisters Gena Batman and Jerolyn Hutton of Lakeland, and cousins Rhonda Wheeler and Robin Jackson. Other immediate family members include brother-in-law Timothy Batman and nephews Caleb and Joshua Batman of Lakeland. Born in Plant City, FL, October 20, 1958, Ms. Wheeler was a resident of Lakeland and a member of Parkview Baptist Church where she played the organ occasionally when younger. She attended Polk Community College and Georgia Southern College. A private service will be held with internment to follow. Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens.
