Mildred J. Givans, 89
LAKELAND - Mildred J. Givans, 89, passed away peacefully June 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Givans, Jr., and daughter Melody
Givans.
Born in Louisville, KY, she was a daughter of the late Rev. JB and Virgie
Norris. Mildred worked as a church musician and served as pianist/organist
in many churches. She was a music graduate at Campbellsville College
Kentucky.
Survivors include children, Gary Ray (Connie) Givans Sr, and Luanne
(Richard) Givans Dennis; Grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Gary Ray Givans Jr.,
and Nicole Gude; Great-Grandchildren, Christopher & Camden Davis, Grant,
Brodie, Brooklyn & McKenzie Givans, Colton & Cameron Gude.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at
Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Rd.
A funeral service will follow at 11am at the funeral home conducted by Pastor
Mark Creech.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or to
Kathleen Baptist Music Department.
