Mildred Julia Gaughf's Obituary
Mildred Julia Gaughf, 78, of Lakeland, Florida died Wednesday December 26, 2018 in Bolivia, North Carolina in the home of her son Lester and wife Sylvia following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by Eugene, her husband of 61 years and grandson Steven Simmons.
She was the daughter of Woodrow and Alice Brown of Lakeland. She is survived by a sister Martha Boleman of Arizona, four children, Darrell (Gail) of Florida, Beverly (Dennis) of Florida, Lester (Sylvia) of North Carolina, and Ginny of Florida. Nine grandchildren, Darrell Jr. (Jenny), Amber (Dusty), Carl, Kevin, Joseph (Lindsay), Joshua (Kaitlin), Patrick, Jake, and Tiffany. Eleven great grandchildren Dusty Jr., Chase, Jaden, Chevy, Levi, Savannah, Halle, Aaron, Tanner, Chael, and Belle.
She was a very loving wife and mother, totally devoted to her husband and children. She was committed to her neighborhood, whom she loved and cared for like family. She worked at Jacob’s Nursery for many years, and five years at Ross of Florida. She made and decorated cakes and crafts to sell to help provide for her family. Her cooking and decorating abilities were unmatched.
Services will be held at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, Florida on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at 11:00am viewing, 12:00pm services. Reception following at 4826 Melody Lane.
