Mildred Louise Evers' Obituary
Mildred Evers was born to George and Ruth Brinkley on April 1, 1923.
Mildred lived on the Brinkley farm in Hartsfield, Georgia until she was eighteen years old then moved to Lake Wales, Florida. Mildred started working at Donald Duck Citrus Plant and returned to Hartsfield, Georgia.
She married Irvin Aycock from Morgan, Georgia in 1944. Mildred and Irvin bought a farm and farmed the land until 1947. They moved back to Lake Wales, Florida and Irvin started working for Donald Duck Citrus Plant. Their oldest son Wayne was born, and they moved back to Hartsfield, Georgia. Soon after, Kenny and Linda were born. They farmed until 1958 and relocated to Winter Haven, Florida.
Irvin started working at the George L. Simonds refactoring company. The family moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1960 where Irvin worked for Sargeant Citrus Plant.
Mildred enjoyed fishing, gardening, and writing poetry. She was also a beloved member of Edgewood Church of Christ.
Irvin passed away in 1965. Mildred started work for a dental lab in 1966. She was re-married to John Evers in 1972. John passed away in 2004 and Mildred resided in Lakeland, Florida until the end of her life.
Mildred was preceded in death by Irvin Aycock, her first husband, John Evers, her second husband, her siblings Hazel, Junior, Eunice, Virginia, Gardener, and Shirley, her grandson, David Moore and her step-daughter, Cathy Evers.
Mildred is survived by her children Wayne Aycock (Chris), Ken Aycock (Theresa), Linda Aycock, Mike Evers, stepson (Cara) as well as four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and her siblings Johnny and Sybil.
