Michele L. Tillman's Obituary
Michele L. Tillman, 48, of Lakeland, Florida, and formerly from New Hartford, Iowa, passed away at Lakeland Regional Health Center on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
Michele was born on March 12, 1971, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Linda (Boltz) and Clyde Luck Sr. She was raised in New Hartford where she attended school and graduated from New Hartford High School in 1989. She then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa where she earned her Paralegal Associates Degree. Michele worked as an account specialist for GMAC Mortgage in Waterloo for fifteen years. On April 20, 2010, Michele was united in marriage to Lonna “Lonnie” Tillman in New Hartford, Iowa. The couple moved to Florida in 2011, after obtaining custody of their grandchildren, Malikye and Alexis Britton.
Michele was a member of New Hartford United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #660 in New Hartford. She was a Girl Scout as a child and later passionately served as a Girl Scout Leader in Iowa and then in Florida for her grand-daughter, Alexis. Michele liked to do crafts, especially rubber-stamp greeting cards. She was a kind and compassionate lady that will be missed by all that knew her.
Michele is survived by her spouse, Lonnie; her father, Clyde Luck, Sr. of New Hartford, Iowa; her brother, Clyde (Carla) Luck, Jr., of Cedar Falls, Iowa; grand-children Malikye and Alexis Britton of Lakeland, Florida; and nephews, Chad (Ashley) Luck of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Conor Luck of Waterloo, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda and stepson, David Britton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019, from 2-4 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel. Visitation will also be at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa on December 1, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Beaver Grove Cemetery, rural New Hartford, with Pastor Bob Holdorf officiating. Memorial may be directed to Michele’s family.
