Michael Sapp's Obituary
April 1st 1999, we welcomed our 4th child into our family. Little did we know about the journey we were about to forego. This little boy quickly took ahold of our hearts and everyone that came in contact with him. As he grew, our hearts grew with such love, as he had such a happy spirit that could and would embrace and illuminate the room with smiles and laughter. He was bigger than life and in spite of the circumstances in which we would be, he would smile and reach out a hand, as to say… “everything is gonna be okay!” As he became a teenager, I pinned the nickname of “My little giant” on him. What a giant he was! This little man child, who never spoke a word spoke more life lessons and more theology than any scholar! Through many scares and many surgeries to help him have a better quality of life, he overcame more challenges than most. This “little giant” did it with joy and such determination and would push through the pain and the tears and when it was all over, he would give us a smile, pull us by the hand into his chest with such unconditional love. We realized at a young age his love for Southern Gospel Music. He would raise his hands in praise and once in a while he would try to out preach the preacher as we sat in church. He inherited his love for music and song from his parents and grandparents. On December the 22nd of 2022, Michael began his final fight here this side of Heaven, and on January 3rd of 2023, “mercy walked in” and escorted him into the presence of Jesus! He will be missed, oh, how we are going to miss him. This “little giant” is more alive now, than he has ever been! He took his 1st unassisted steps on streets of gold! He spoke his 1st “verbal” words, to loved ones who have gone on before. He’s playing the piano and singing in the heavenly choir. This is not goodbye, this is just “see ya later” to this little giant! Till we meet again our precious son, Michael, we love you Mom, Dad, Kelli, Kristen and Krystal.
