Michael David Kevitch's Obituary
Michael David Kevitch, 75 of Lakeland, passed away December 16, 2022 at Lakeland Regional Hospital. Michael was born December 24, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to Michael and Catherine (McCue) Kevitch and moved to Lakeland in 1999. Mike spent his entire career working in commercial real estate for Penske Trucking, Vice President for Watkins Motor Lines, and in 2017, he retired from FedEx as a Managing Director. Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree from LaSalle University in Pennsylvania and his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He was an avid golfer, a member of Eaglebrooke Country Club, a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan and loving member of First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake. Michael was united in marriage on March 21, 2010 to his wife Marsha who resides in Lakeland. He is also survived by his children, Kimberly Gerhardt of Lafayette, CA; Michael (Cruz) Kevitch of Colonia, NJ; Katie (Wade) Heathman of Winter Haven, FL; and Krista (Alex) Koskey of Brookhaven, GA; his twin sister, Elaine (Michael) Maloney of Springfield, PA; his three nephews, Tommy (Sue) Maloney, Kevin (Annie) Maloney, and Michael (Kim) Maloney. He was “Pop-Pop” to his twelve grandchildren and loved them fiercely: Tyler, Jessica, Elena, Ryan, Christopher, Chris Marie, Christian, Ella, Ollie, Evan, Ivey and Caroline. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday February 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Michael's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
