Michael C.Cummings. Born May 3rd, 1957 in Oswego, New York. Passed Away on June 11th, 2023. Born to Frederick J. Cummings, and Cula Joan Cummings. Survived by wife Christine ( Ruggio) Cummings, sons Jarrod Cummings of Lakeland, Florida, and Jason Cummings of Liverpool, New York. Sister Donna (Michael) Nagyhazi of Plant City, Florida. Brother Frederick (Kim) of Richmond, Texas. Deceased brother Glenn. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mike was a very caring and loving husband. He was always interested in helping the hungry and homeless in our neighborhoods. Back in 1990 he helped start Operation Social Storm with a group of other concerned families. They would have food drives, and fundraisers to help families in need. Social Storm was about helping people and getting them what they need to help themselves
Mike started his own plumbing & heating business which did well but fell on hard times. In 1995 he graduated from Crouse Hospital School of Nursing. He became a Registered Nurse and worked for St. Joseph Homecare in Syracuse, New York. He then received his Wound and Ostomy certification from Wicks Educational Associates in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania There he continued to help his Patients heal in their own homes. He loved to see these patients everyday and hear their stories. Sometimes he was the only person they saw and it helped to brighten their day. He retired in 2007. He was passionate about his family, encouraging young people to join the nursing profession, cars, and personal finance.
