Melvin Arnold Elgersma, age 87, of Randolph, WI died on January 30, 2016 in Lakeland, FL. Beloved husband of Gertrude Lemieux Elgersma; dear father of Steve (Kathy), Christine Vande Kolk (Jim), Jerry, Cena Kamphuis (Al), Barbara Vant Hoff, David Elgersma (Heidi), Greg; brother of Helen Slager and Verna Cupery (Harold); step-father of Cecile Morgrage (Barry), Andre Desmarais (Gina), Denise Greene (John), Denis Desmarais (Cheryl), Raymond Desmarais (Alison), Paul Desmarais (Donna) and Jean Desmarais. He was preceded in death by his children, Mary Ann Agnew and Jim Elgersma, and his sister, Evelyn Vander Galien. Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 11 AM at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Dr., Lakeland, FL 33801.
