Maxine Napier Young's Obituary
MAXINE NAPIER YOUNG, 88, LAKELAND
Maxine Napier Young was instantaneously ushered into the presence of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on April 14, 2018. She was born February 19, 1930 in Wayne, WV to Boyd and Amanda Napier. In 1963 she moved to Lakeland. She was retired from Ben Hill Griffin. Her passion was going to garage sales and the Webster Flea Market. She was a wonderful entrepreneur, owning dress shops in Winter Haven and Lakeland, as well as being a director with Mary Kay. She loved the Lord, her family and was known for her amazing cooking. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew her as Granny Max.
She is survived by her Daughters Lona Allen of Tampa, Ilene Berg of Lakeland and Barbara Martin (Doug) of Auburndale; Sister Haney Hembree of Kentucky; Brothers JP Napier of Port St. Lucie and Lynn Napier of Ohio; Grandchildren Angela Ardrey (Scott), Michael Martin (Staci), Christopher Queen (Alice), Alisa Sumner (David), Henry Allen Jr., Richard Berg and Debbie Muntz (Jim); 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Bessie McKee and brothers Thurman Napier, Bernie Napier, Bruce Napier and Bob Napier, as well as granddaughter Lori Martin.
Her graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11am at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland FL 33810.
