Marylou Price's Obituary
MaryLou Price, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, at the age of 75.
Born on July 2, 1949, she was the cherished daughter of Charles and Lucy Ventura.
She is predeceased by her sister Catherine M. Lilly, sister Deborah L. Lacerte, and brother Thomas F. Ventura.
MaryLou is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Daniel L. Price, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership, recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on July 20, 2024.
MaryLou grew up in Bolton, Massachusetts, where she excelled in sports, particularly field hockey, basketball, and softball. Her talent and dedication to athletics earned her numerous awards, including being named the Booster Club’s Best All-Around Athlete in her senior year of high school. Her competitive spirit and love of sports were a hallmark of her youth and a source of pride for her family.
She was a woman of deep faith, living out God’s word daily and serving her community through active involvement in her church until being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her kindness, generosity, and dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
MaryLou is remembered for her selflessness and boundless love for her children, Sara M. Tester and Daniel M. Price (Danny Boy), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Taylor and Madison Harden, Kaylie, Sean, and Noah Price, and Richard Arroyo. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and her legacy of love and compassion will live on in their hearts.
MaryLou is also survived by her siblings: Charles A. Ventura of North Carolina, Carol Gareau of Florida, Paul R. Ventura of Massachusetts, Francis P. Ventura of Florida, Linda M. Wood of Massachusetts, Elaine Janda of Massachusetts, Ann M. Pekkala of Massachusetts, and Steven T. Ventura of Massachusetts. Her siblings, along with her extended family, held her in the highest regard for her strength, grace, and unwavering love.
Though she will be greatly missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that MaryLou has entered the gates of heaven, walking the streets of gold, free from pain and suffering. She is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and is in the eternal embrace of her Savior.
A celebration of her life will be held in Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland, FL.33810 on Thursday, September 19th at 10:30 am, where her family and friends will gather to honor the incredible woman she was and share in the cherished memories she leaves behind.
