I feel so grateful to have known Mary, even if only for a few short years. From the moment we met, her warm and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on me. Mary had a beautiful zest for life — always ready for an adventure, full of joy, and endlessly kind, especially with children.
Despite facing memory challenges, her light never dimmed. I’ll always remember how excited she was when I told her I was studying zoology — she beamed and said, “You’re my kind of girl.” That moment perfectly captured her genuine enthusiasm and the way she connected with others.
We shared some wonderful times laughing, enjoying nature, and simply being in each other’s company. Mary brought so much joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed.
