Mary Ann Elizabeth Nosun's Obituary
Mary Ann Nosun, age 89, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 8, 2022. Mary Ann was born on January 10, 1933 in Washington, D.C. to Eleanor Jordan Callaghan and William Franklin Jordan who predeceased her. She grew up in the Washington D.C. area and attended college at Dickinson in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority during her college years.
She married Robert (Bob) Nosun in January, 1954 and moved to Lakeland in 1956. She worked at Nosun Engineering Sales until retirement in 2005. Mary Ann was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), was a founding member of the Church of the Resurrection and was President of the RCCW for a year. She was also a member of St. John Neumans and she and her husband played Bridge there and participated in serving at church services. She always loved gardening and golf and continued both during her retirement. She had 2 holes-in-one, was President of the Lone Palm Ladies Golf Club and was club champion for two years. Her fondest memories were of boating on Scott Lake and water skiing with her three daughters growing up.
She is survived by her 3 daughters Kathleen Killingsworth (Greg), Lynn Gambill (Joe), Margaret Coleman (Mike), 6 grandsons Christopher Capellini (Jennifer), Andrew Capellini, Sean Coleman, Bryan Coleman (Kara), Keith Coleman (Jessica) and Greg Gambill. She also has 6 great grandchildren with another on the way.
