Marvin Thomas Drew's Obituary
LAKELAND – Marvin Drew, 84, passed away on June 14, 2015. He was born on June 8, 1931 in Paducah, KY. He retired from the State of Florida. Marvin graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Pharmacy. He was of the Christian faith and attended Legacy Christian Church in Lakeland. Prior to moving to Lakeland he attended the First Christian Church in Lake Butler, FL where he served as an Elder.
Marvin was proud to have been a Kentucky Colonel and also very proud to have served in the U.S. Army. He had volunteered at Good Shepherd Hospice and served as a SHINE coordinator for Elder affairs in the past.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Edenfield Drew, daughters Kathy Hoye (Bob) and Karen Pirone; grandsons Thom Pirone (Cindy), John Pirone and Robby Hoye as well as 3 great grandchildren, Rowan, Juliet and Tristan.
Services will be June 24th at The Estates at Carpenter’s Auditorium. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 AM with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Estates at Carpenter’s CHERA Fund or Legacy Christian Church.
