Marshall S Hart Jr's Obituary
Marshall S. Hart, Jr. of Lakeland, FI, (85), passed away on May 08, 2023, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born in Norfolk, Va., Feb. 01, 1938 and graduated from Yokohama American High School in Yokohama, Japan and attended the College of William & Mary (Norfolk Division), now Old Dominion University. He retired from UPS and Anheuser-Busch after 38 years of combined employment and various part-time jobs after retirement. He was a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters for 38 years and served in many positions within the Union during that time. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve for 8 years. He was also a life member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was an active member of Lake Gibson Church of The Nazarene in Lakeland, Fl, and enjoyed volunteering as a camera operator for their worldwide Internet Ministry and their Food Pantry and wherever else he was needed, and just this year, my dad and Betty joined New Life Assembly, enjoying Dr. Jeff Davis preaching. He cherished his family, children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty, especially in their RV.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Hart of Lakeland, Fi, his son, Michael (Mike) Hart (Amy) of Virginia Beach, Va, a daughter Jean M. Hart of Kill-Devil Hill, NC and Kathleen Simon of Williamsburg, Va. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, Travis Hart of Virginia Beach, Va, Michael Simon and Bryan Simon both of Gloucester, Va. He is also survived by 2 step-children, Paul Walker of Winston-Salem,NC and Tammy Pryde of Orange City, Fl and 6 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. Memorial service will be at New Life Assembly, Lakeland, Fl on May 26,2023 with internment in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield, Va at a later date.
