Marsha Simon Pflieger's Obituary
Marsha Simon Pflieger, beloved mother, sister and Nana, passed peacefully from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Feb. 7, 2025.
Born in Norwalk, Ohio February 21, 1949 to Raymond and Betty Simon, Marsha was a caring sister to Janet Kramb English and Carrie Simon Widman. As a child Marsha loved cheerleading, volleyball, basketball and hanging out with “The Women” at the lake. Marsha attended Bowling Green State University where she pursued a degree in Education. Marsha married Jerome Robert Pflieger and had three children, Chad Pflieger, Cara (Pflieger) Reinhold and Cassie (Pflieger) Miller. Marsha stayed home to raise her children until she went back to teaching in Polk County, FL in 1988 where she taught over 30 years. After her retirement she volunteered at the local animal shelter where she gave countless hours to better the lives of the cats and dogs who lived there. Marsha even adopted a senior dog named Foxy to live out his retirement with her. Foxy was her special boy and they enjoyed many years together. He could light up her eyes even until the very end. Marsha enjoyed yearly trips to the beach with her three children, their spouses Melissa Pflieger, Michael Reinhold and Luke Miller and 9 grandchildren; Elizabeth Wilt, Kaitlyn Pflieger, Emily Pflieger, Kacey Reinhold, Chelsey Reinhold, Erin Miller, Eli Miller, Easton Miller and Emelia Miller. Her sweet smile and servants heart will always be remembered.
The family will be having a private memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Marsha to the Beautiful Minds Social Center, an adult day care provider for seniors with dementia. 1037 S. Florida Ave. Suite 130. Lakeland FL 33803
