Marlene Smith's Obituary
Marlene Smith, 77, passed away peacefully in her home on February 28, 2020. She was born in Milan, Michigan on March 27, 1942. Sadly, she leaves behind many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lyle, her parents, a brother and 2 sisters.
Marlene was active in many Catholic ministries in caring for the sick and homebound. She also tutored elementary students at Sleepy Hill Elementary School. Her kind and gentle spirit will be fondly missed by all who knew her.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Rd., Lakeland, FL 33809.
