Mark Aliano's Obituary
Mark was born on September 5, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA and passed away on January 23, 2023 in Lakeland, FL. He is survived by his brothers, Michael and Phillip (Cindy), and his sisters, Donna, Sharon Viti, Amelia, and Elana Shade, his many grandnieces and nephews, his best friend, Teresa Bray, and Gallina, his dog and best companion.
Sometimes a life is cruelly taken away too soon, but it is what is done with that life that counts. Mark loved the social life. He was a loyal friend, kind to all, with a great sense of humor. His passing has left a hole in the hearts of his dearest friends scattered around the world. He leaves behind special memories in the hearts of his extraordinary friends in Switzerland, California, Colorado, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. He lived his best life, loved his travels abroad, and took joy in helping others. In everything he touched, he worked relentlessly to ensure it was perfect and did not stop until it was. He was tough as nails at work and amazingly talented at his craft. Mark was trustworthy and passionate and took care of the people and things that mattered to him.
Mark spent a majority of his Events career working at the University of Southern California as catering manager for over 25 years. If you ask them, they would tell you “Mark WAS USC Catering.” Previously, he was employed by exclusive venues such the legendary estate, Hotel Bel-Air, and the Ritz-Carlton, Pasadena. He moved to Florida to retire in early 2021, while keeping a busy schedule planning events for new friends. May we all be as kind and good-hearted as Mark.
A celebration of life will be held at Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, New Jersey, on March 7th at 1:00pm, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to Parker Street Ministries, Inc., 4777 Massachusetts Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801, or to a charity of your choice.
