Marjorie McClary Sims' Obituary
Marjorie Doretha McClary Sims, 87, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on April 22nd, 2026.
She was born in Medulla Florida, the child of Reverend Daniel Webster McClary and his wife, Marie. She had an older sister, Virginia.
She graduated from Dillard University in New Orleans Louisiana in 1958 with a B.A. Degree in Behavioral Science.
She worked as a Registered Nurse, a day care center director, a mental health counselor, and lastly a social worker at Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Bryan, nephew and niece Tyrone and Brenda Hodge and niece, Valerie Myers Doleman .
Funeral service will be held at Gentry -Morrison Funeral Home at 1727 Bartow Road, Bartow, Florida 33801 on Saturday, May 9th at 11 A.M.
