Marion D. Grant, 79, of Lakeland, Florida died unexpectedly Sunday evening, Dec. 27, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Malone, New York on September 23rd 1936, she was the youngest daughter of Bentley and Fannie (LeBrake) Dustin. Marion was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert D. Grant; son, Bruce (Iris) Grant of Clay, New York; Daughter, Jacqueline (Todd) Bashaw of Riverview, Florida; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and by two brothers and a sister, all of whom reside in upstate New York.
Marion lived an energetic and enthusiastic life with her favorite activities including frequent travel, golf, playing cards, and bingo with her many friends in the Highland Fairways community. She loved spending time with her family celebrating holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. She will be sincerely missed by many, and especially by her family.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, 10:00am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.gentry-morrison.com.
