Maria Cuevas de Garcia's Obituary
Maria E. Cuevas de Garica passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 92 in Lakeland, FL. She was born on March 13, 1931, in San Felipe, GTO, Mexico.
Maria was a strong, independent, and giving individual who touched the lives of many. She had a heart of gold and loved helping others in any way she could. Maria had a vibrant personality and a diva spirit. She had a passion for beautiful things, including her extensive shoe collection. Maria's faith in the Lord was central to her life, and she had healing hands that brought people closer to her. She was a devoted worshipper and found comfort in her faith. Maria worshipped anywhere she could connect with her spirituality. In her free time, Maria loved to cook, clean, and go shopping. She found joy in taking care of others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Prayer was an essential part of her life, and she found comfort in her conversations with the Lord.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Cuevas, and their children: Jesus Cuevas, Jose Cuevas, Maria Cuevas, Ernesto Cuevas, Ignacio Cuevas, Martha Cuevas, Imelda Flanders, Ramon Cuevas Jr., and Antonio Cuevas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria's brother, Ignacio Garcia. Her family was a cherished part of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gumercinda Padron, her father, Bacilio Garcia, and her siblings: Virginia Garcia, Rita Garcia Ortega, Tita Garcia, Carmen Garcia, Panchita Garcia, Alifonsa Garcia, Nati Garcia, German Garcia, and Pedro Garcia.
A visitation will be held on December 20, 2023, at 12:00 pm for Family and 1:00 pm for Family Friends, At the Gentry Morrison Funeral Home Serenity Gardens: 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Fl 33810. The Funeral service, which will be conducted by Deacon Gerardo DeJesus, will follow at 2:00 pm.
Maria Cuevas will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
