LAKELAND – Mrs. Marguerite Ruth Mantich Spicer passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
Marguerite was born on September 15, 1941 to Joseph and Lola Mantich in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the wife of Lt. Colonel W. R. Spicer U.S.M.C. (ret) and served as a loving military wife for 50 years and had two children. She loved photography, traveling and motorcycle touring. Marguerite and husband Bill moved to the Central Florida area 35 years ago, spending 33 years in Clermont, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William “Bill” R. Spicer; daughter, Mary Catherine “Katie” Spicer of Orlando, FL; son, William “Rob” R. Spicer, Jr. of St. Cloud, FL; granddaughter, Pamela Spicer-Moehring of Temple Terrace, FL and brothers, James and Joe Mantich both of Omaha, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, FL.
