LAKELAND - Lupita Martinez Quintanilla, 75, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015. She was born in Brownsville TX on February 18, 1940. She worked as a nurse, and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and sticking her feet in the water while watching her grandkids swim.
She is survived by her husband, Emilio G. Quintanilla; sons, Inez Flores, Jr., Emilio G. (Wendy) Quintanilla, Jr., Jose G. (Nola) Quintanilla, Sr., Fernando (LeAnn) Quintanilla, Armando Quintanilla; granddaughters, Kara R. Quintanilla, Meilani Quintanilla; grandsons, Kyle R. Quintanilla; Jose G. Quintanilla, Jr., Cole J. Quintanilla and Fernando Quintanilla, Jr.; brother, Juan Martinez, Sr.; sisters, Marta Trevino, Manuela Jaquez, Yolanda Garcia, Juanita Jaquez, and Rosa Knudsen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, with services on Friday, June 19, 2015, at 10 am at the funeral home chapel with interment at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
