Lucille Holmes' Obituary
Lucille Fundock Holmes, 95, passed away on July 16, 2016. She was born in La Porte, IN and moved to Lakeland in the 1940’s. Lucille was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, The Tropical Doll Club, as well as a former member of Lakeland Moose Lodge. In 1949, Lucille was chosen for the title of “Mrs. Lakeland”. She will be deeply missed by all of the lives that she touched.
Lucille was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard; and sisters, Louise, Lillian, and Lorraine. She is survived by daughters, Arlene and Shirley; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland.
