Louella Fay Smith's Obituary
Louella Fay Smith of Lakeland, Florida, was called to be with the Lord on November 4th,
2023, at the age of 90. She passed peacefully without any pain and is now reunited with her husband Carl who passed away on May 5th, just six months earlier They had met on a blind date and were together for the next 64 years. They complimented each other in everything they did.
Louella was born in Auburndale, FL on October 18th, 1933, to Ola G. Joiner and Brant M. Joiner.
She was a majorette at Auburndale High School, and she learned to play the piano while going to church. She also attended school to become a beautician.
Louella is preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother Melvin Brant Joiner. She is survived by her three sons: John Brant, Patrick Alan, and Everett Alan Smith, and her brother Jerry, who lives in Auburndale. Louella has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She moved to Winter Haven with Carl after they wed in 1959, and opened a beauty shop in
her home to be close to her family. Later she started Viking Realty with her husband.
She was active in her community and was a member of the Winter Haven Garden Club. She
stayed active in Church activities as well and spent quality time with her family.
