Linda Williams
Lake Wales – Linda Williams, 66, passed away Oct. 18, 2014 from congestive heart failure.
Linda was born in Highland City, FL on Mar. 26, 1948, and remained a lifelong resident of Polk County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Willie Bowen; sisters, Gail Sims, Jackie Tuttle and Ginger Towery. Linda is survived by her husband, Teke Williams; children, John “Scooter” Briggs (Patty), Jerry Briggs (Darby), Joey Varner (Tina), Tony Varner (Cassie) and Hollie Fox (Kevin); brother, David Bowen; sisters, Louise Taylor, Judy Powell, Joan Barfield and Carolyn Boatwright; grandchildren, Allison, Rebecca, Jacob, Derienne, Joshua, Ashlyn, Sylah, Alexandra, Kymberleanne, Devin and Dalton.
Visitation will be Wed. from 6-8 p.m. at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Funeral services will be conducted Thurs. at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
