Linda C. Sebright's Obituary
Linda Claudette Sebright, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of Lakeland, passed away on July 5th after a courageous battle with dementia. Her final moments were spent with her husband in the home they built together.
Born and raised in Lakeland, Linda dedicated her life to her family and community. As a devoted wife, she supported her husband throughout their many years together. Linda cherished her role as a stay-at-home mother, nurturing her children and instilling in them values of love and compassion.
Linda was actively involved in her community and church. She taught Sunday school and contributed her time and energy to Kathleen Baptist Church, where she was a cherished member for many years. Her commitment to her faith and service to others touched the lives of many.
In her earlier years, Linda enjoyed being a part of a bowling league and Cub Scout Den Mother. In later years, Linda was a dedicated member of the Florida Frontiersman. However, her greatest joy and fulfillment came from her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding immense happiness in their milestones and accomplishments.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lorine and Cecil Bozeman, two sons Mark Sebright and Terry Sebright.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John Sebright; a daughter-in-law Cindy Sebright, four grandchildren Ashley Parr (Jeremy), David Sebright (Christina), Matthew Sebright (Tabatha), and Dalton Sebright (Miranda), and eight great-grandchildren: Landon Parr, Peyton Sebright, Olivia Sebright, Loralei Parr, Rylan Sebright, Wesson Sebright, Meredith Sebright, and Rowan Sebright.
Linda will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of faith, devotion, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Kathleen Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:00am with burial to follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Parr, David Sebright, Matthew Sebright, Dalton Sebright, Landon Parr, and Peyton Sebright.
Forever in our hearts, Linda Claudette Sebright's spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.
