Leonard “Lou” Luther Crews
Lakeland – Leonard “Lou” Luther Crews, 67, passed away October 21, 2022.
Lou was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 20, 1955. His family moved to Lakeland and he graduated from Kathleen High School. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years as a Generator Operator. He then worked at small engine repair and Industrial maintenance and retired from G & K Services as a Maintenance Engineer. Lou was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish for Bass. He also enjoyed driving his Chevy truck to go to yard sales, thrift stores and estate sales. Until his health no longer permitted, Lou served his church, the Lakeland Seventh-day Adventist Church, as Head Deacon. Lou kept everyone laughing wherever he went, even in his final days in the hospital. He was a loving husband to his wife and a fun Pop Pop to his grandchildren. He loved being around people. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.
Lou is survived by his wife of 23 years, Michelle Crews; siblings, Tom (Sherry Lee) Murphy, Frank Murphy, Fred (Sherry Jane) Murphy and his twin, Lillian Robinson; his nieces and nephews, James Murphy, Kristine Murphy, Amy Geiger-Shields, Logan Flake, Wesley Flake, Thomas Murphy, Jeannie Murphy, David Murphy, Benjamin Murphy, Amanda Kunstman, Elizabeth Robinson and William Robinson; step son, Keith (Angie) Smith; and 7 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 6th at 1:00 pm at the Lakeland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1435 Gilmore Ave. Lakeland, FL 33805.
