Leonard Will Bloomfield's Obituary
Leonard Will Bloomfield passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 94. He was the son of the late Arthur Edward Bloomfield, and Florice Simmons. Born in Bergen, New York, Leonard's favorite activities were fishing and boating, but also enjoyed horses, motorcycles and rollercoasters. In his twenties he moved to Florida and before joining the U.S. Army he married Marjorie Jewell Atwell in 1951. He made a living as a piano tuning technician, while they had four children together and raised a family. His service in the military was brief but their love lasted nearly 50 years until her passing in 2000. Leonard met his second wife Sarah Parrish and they were married in 2004 until her passing in 2022. He loved his family, served his country and will be missed dearly.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Florice Bloomfield, wives Marjorie "Jewell" and Sarah Bloomfield. He is survived by his loving son Larry Bloomfield (Janice), daughter Constance "Connie" Kennedy (Therman), son Edward "Eddie" Bloomfield (Terry), son Kevin Bloomfield; ten grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Burial Park after a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
