Leon Schretenthaler's Obituary
Leon Schretenthaler, of Eau Claire, passed away on December 5th, 2024, at his 2nd home in Lakeland, FL.
He was born on July 5th, 1942, to Clarence and Sena, and spent the majority of his life in the Eau Claire area. He married Edie Spehle and together they had 5 children and were married for 62 years.
Leon is survived by his wife, Edie, children; Keith (Deb), Sheri (David), Scott (Desiree), Lisa, and Curt (Deb), 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters; Janet and Janice (Lloyd), son-in-law, Jason, other relatives, and his dog, Cael.
Leon enjoyed golfing, taking the scenic route, campfires, watching his grandchildren in their activities, spending time with family and friends, watching his Packers and Badgers, his recliner, a good joke and cold beer.
A celebration of life will be held at Hickory Hills Golf Course on December 28th, from 1-5 pm. Please feel free to wear your Packer or Badger attire and come prepared to share your favorite stories of Leon.
We will all miss your laugh and the twinkle in your eyes.
