Laureen M.Harkness, went home to be withthe Lord on Feb 13,2020. Laureen was born in Waukegan, IL on Oct 21, 1957 to the late Elmer and Audrey Thompson. She lived in Lakeland. She was a registered nurse. She was a member of Lakes Church and belonged to Stitches of Love. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, and cooking for friends and family. She especially loved spending time with her 8 grandkids. Laureen is survived by her husband of 38 years, Fred; children Kimberly of Lakeland, Kenneth (Melissa) of Polk City, Tiffany of Lakeland, Tyler (Sarah) of Polk City; Siblings Renee Heidi, Edgar (Connie) Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Steve (Jolene) Thompson, Eric(Dawn) Thompson; grandchildren, Delaney, Gabriel, Memphis, Loralei, Ezekiel, Clayton, Avery, and McKenzie. Visitation will be Friday February 21, 2020 at 10am, funeral services to follow, all will be held at Lakes Church,1010 E Memorial Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33801. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stitches of Love at Lakes Church.
