Larry Neal Spell's Obituary
Larry Neal Spell was born on August 7, 1946, in Savannah, Georgia. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Transportation Division during the Vietnam War. After a family tragedy, Larry left military service to care for his loved ones.
He went on to build a 33-year career at IMC New Wales mines, where he served in management over the Sulfuric Department. Larry was a true outdoorsman—fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature brought him peace and joy.
Known for his honesty, integrity, and steadfast commitment, Larry earned the respect of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lyn; children Lee (Tracy), Jessica, and Wesley; grandchildren Justin, Darron, Tyler, Lauren, Camden, and Eden; sisters Barbara and Glenda; and brothers Ted, Don, and Chuck. He also leaves behind his stepson Ken Waters and wife Stella, whom he loved as his own.
Larry’s legacy of strength, compassion, and quiet leadership will live on through the lives he touched. He passed away on August 16, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family that will honor him always.
