Lamar Pilgrim's Obituary
Lamar, 87, of Lakeland, FL passed away on Sept. 5, 2024 with complications of Parkinson Disease.
He was born in Auburndale, FL and lived in Lakeland for many years. He retired from the City of Lakeland after 26 years working for the Parks and Recreation Dept. After retirement he worked at Huntington Hills Golf & Country Club for 21 years and also gave golf lessons to patrons. He proudly holds the course record of a 62 at Huntington Hills Golf & Country Club and was known as Mr. 59 at Ponce de Leon Golf course in St. Augustine, FL. Lamar was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church and was devoted to both family and church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Faye Pilgrim and their daughter Rhonda LaClair.
He is survived by 2 daughters Margie Serralles (Ed), Ramona Walden (Rick), a sister Gloria Pettus, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1:00-2:00 PM, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, at Northside Assembly of God, 401 W. Robson St. Lakeland, FL 33805. Interment at Serenity Gardens to follow funeral service.
