Kyle Bryan Sellars Jr's Obituary
Kyle Bryan Sellars, 80, passed away on February 7 in Lakeland, Florida.
He was born to Kyle and Elizabeth Sellars in Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, Florida in 1945. He left Winter Haven as a child with his parents and returned to Polk county in 1972. In 1967, Kyle married Linda Flegge and they were lucky to have celebrated 59 years together. They have two daughters, Jacquelyn Sellars of New Market,Tennessee and Jennifer Baroni of Tampa, Florida. Kyle is also survived by his three grandchildren, Joshua Sellars (Michelle) of New Market, Tennessee, Alexis Baroni and Gabrielle Baroni of Lakeland, Florida; Julie Ochs (John) his sister, William Sellars (Beverly) his brother, Sandee Russell (Fred) his sister-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews who lovingly refer to him as Uncle Big Snot. Kyle is also survived by his loyal friend of over 50 years, Ellis Hirsch. Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle Sr. and Elizabeth Sellars
Kyle served in the United States Army and worked in the auto sales industry for most of his life. Kyle was a passionate fisherman, a member of the Lakeland Bassmasters and was inducted into the Lakeland Bassmasters Hall of Fame in 2025. Kyle was also an avid bowler and a member of many bowling leagues throughout the years. At 16 he was 2nd in the state, Florida Junior Bowling Championship.
Most importantly, he was an amazing husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His sense of humor kept his family laughing and his fierce competitiveness assured his reign as the family King of Trivia.
