KODY ZAWALSKI, 20
LAKELAND - Kody P. Zawalski, 20, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, due to injuries sustained in a home invasion. Kody was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Florida as a child. In 2010, his family came to Lakeland, and he attended Lake Gibson High School, where he was active in the ROTC program. His interests were music, racing, movies, and the beach. He will be remembered as a friend to everyone. He worked for Sam's Club for a year and a half, before joining C & S Wholesalers, where he was a selector. Kody is survived by his father Jeffrey, his mother Wendy Walling Fryer, his paternal grandparents Thomas and Maryann Zawalski, his maternal grandfather Wendel Walling, his maternal grandmother Sharon Harvey and husband Vern, a brother Kristopher, Victoria Katz, the love of his life, longtime family friend Ben, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, Jan. 16 at 11:00 am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr, Lakeland. The family has asked that donations in Kody's name be made to the Humane Society.
