Kevin Fay Bishop, 74
Lakeland – Kevin Fay Bishop was born on March 1, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN and was raised in Westport, KY by family friends. He passed away peacefully on June 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.
As a young man, he was affectionately known as “Butch” to family and friends. He moved to Florida in 1977 and lived in Winter Park and Miami before settling in Lakeland. He was a mechanic and farrier for 23 years. He could make and fix anything from cars to home additions. He loved horses, camping and old country music. He was a lifelong Baptist.
Kevin is preceded in death by his grandson, Graham Judd, Jr., his parents, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cheryl Bishop, his daughters, Misty Judd (Graham) of Lakeland and Carrie Cahoon (Larry) of Winter Haven, his son, Aaron Sher (Ann Mikael) of Winter Haven, nine grandchildren, and many friends and family who will miss him dearly.
The family will have a private service at the home of his mother and father-in-law in Lakeland. He will be cremated and his cremains scattered in the Ohio River at a future date.
