Kelly Stepp's Obituary
Kelly Joan Stepp, 57, passed away on January 14, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, Florida. She was born on February 12, 1960 in Logan, W.V. to Gale B. Stepp and Jacqueline W. Stepp.
Kelly grew up in Logan, WV. She graduated from Logan High School in 1978. After high school Kelly attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV and graduated with her Bachelors' degree in December 1981. She was a teacher at Omar Junior High School before moving to Okeechobee, Florida where she taught geography at Yearling Middle School and later at Osceola Middle School.
Kelly devoted her life to teaching young people. She was a National Board certified teacher and taught middle school aged children for 29 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, photography, crocheting and playing video games.
She is survived by her mother, Jackie Stepp of Lakeland, FL; brother, Clifton "Tad" and sister-in-law Patricia; nephews, Kevin of Lakeland, FL, Craig(Nicole) of Tampa, FL; great-nephews Seth and Ethan and great-nieces Shelby and Emma.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Gale B. Stepp in
January 2013.
A visitation will be held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Road on Saturday January 20, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. with a funeral service beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at Serenity Garden Cemetery directly behind Gentry- Morrison Funeral Home.
